Job Summary
The Pump Truck Driver operates the pump truck on a pre-determined route to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck. It also involves hooking up and pulling trailers, performing pre-operation safety checks, refueling, basic maintenance, and coordinating with mechanics for servicing. The role includes transporting waste to the appropriate processing or disposal site, notifying dispatchers of delays or issues, and maintaining logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs. Overtime and weekend work may be required during storm season. Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of required commercial driving experience, 5 years required
- TWIC ID preferred
- Must be at least 25 years of age or older
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends during the Storm season
- Must be able to pull trailers
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- A valid Driver’s License or is required
- Ability to work overtime (nights and weekends) when needed
- Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
