Job Summary
Diagnose, service, repair, and rebuild large, trailer-mounted industrial pumps within the rental fleet. Perform routine preventative maintenance including engine tune-ups, oil changes, and electrical/hydraulic troubleshooting. Conduct pre-rental and post-rental inspections to ensure safety and operational standards. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and ensure a clean, safe shop environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience working as a pump mechanic or heavy equipment technician
- Direct, hands-on experience with Gorman-Rupp trash pumps (specifically 4x4, 6x6, and 8x6 trailer-mounted units) is highly preferred
- Must possess a comprehensive set of personal hand tools and diagnostic equipment suitable for heavy mechanical repairs
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle for transportation
- Strong proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel/gas engines, hydraulic systems, and basic electrical systems
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision to meet tight fleet deadlines
