Job Summary
Operate manual lathes and VTLs (Vertical Turret Lathe) to machine, repair, and refurbish components for industrial equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, set up and run machines, measure and verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, maintain tooling and work area, and uphold safety and quality standards. Full-time schedule is 6am–6pm, Monday–Saturday, in Houston, TX. Skills include precision machining, understanding tolerances and materials, reading technical drawings, and meticulous inspection and maintenance of equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating manual lathes and/or VTL machines
- Strong understanding of machining techniques, tolerances, and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
