Job Summary
Outpatient Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner to diagnose, treat, and manage respiratory conditions. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient assessments (history, physicals, symptom review), ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (pulmonary function tests such as spirometry, imaging like chest X-ray, labs, arterial blood gases), developing and managing individualized care plans for acute and chronic pulmonary diseases, prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within scope, collaborating with pulmonologists and the health-care team, providing patient and family education on disease processes, medication management, and lifestyle modifications, coordinating follow-up care and referrals, and maintaining thorough EHR documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) with certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
- Current and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Arizona
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
