Job Summary
Diagnose and manage pulmonary conditions including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, infections, lung cancer, and sleep disorders. Perform diagnostic procedures such as bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing interpretation, and thoracentesis. Develop personalized treatment plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and educate patients on disease management. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and potential program development. Join St. Mary's Hospital, a 182-bed acute care facility in Kankakee, IL, as part of Prime Healthcare's expanding pulmonary program.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- board certification/eligibility in Pulmonary Disease
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
- Pulmonary fellowship
- Strong clinical skills in outpatient, inpatient, and critical care settings
- Excellent communication abilities
- commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
- Eligibility for Illinois medical licensure
