Job Summary
Consult with patients to understand symptoms and health concerns, then diagnose and treat conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema. Interpret pulmonological exams including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies to aid in diagnosing cardiopulmonary diseases. Perform specialized procedures to acquire lung samples, provide immunizations against preventable cardiopulmonary diseases, and maintain detailed appointment notes. Refer patients to cardiothoracic surgeons when necessary, advise on risk status and interventions for tuberculosis, and support patients receiving long-term care. Additionally, conduct research into new medications and treatment methods. This role offers a salary of $250,000 - $300,000 annually with flexible schedules for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonologist with an active NY State License.
