Job Summary
Pulmonary Disease/Critical Care Physician position with the U.S. Army health care team. Responsibilities include examining and treating patients with respiratory diseases, advising on therapy for adults with pulmonary conditions and those in the intensive care setting, and contributing to humanitarian missions and leadership development within the Army Medical Corps. Requirements include a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, current U.S. medical license (DC or PR allowed), board-certification eligibility, at least one year of GME internship, completion of a pulmonary medicine training program, age between 21-42 (waivers possible), and U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply with permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
- Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
- Eligibility for board certification
- Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
- Completion of a training program in pulmonary medicine
- Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers granted on a case-by-case basis)
- U.S. citizenship
