Job Summary
Escort patients for examinations, take histories and vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms. Administer medications per provider orders, perform EKGs, and conduct CLIA waived tests. Maintain medication supplies, log samples, and purge expired items. Assist physicians with screenings, answer phones, and schedule tests. Teach patients self-management tasks and report abnormal findings. Collaborate on care goals, assess barriers to treatment plans, and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations. Work 8 to 10 hours daily with near 100% accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- LPN- graduate of accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed to practice as a professional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Missouri
- current certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- Current?American Heart Association (AHA)?BLS?
- Must be self-motivated
- ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic
- Must be able to sit and stand, intermittent 8 to 10 hours a day
- Must be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard
- Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines
- Continuously utilizes manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing
- Frequently stands, walks, sits and utilizes eye/hand coordination and color definition
- Occasionally reaches above shoulder
- regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs
- Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces
