Job Summary
Lead integrated marketing and publicity campaigns for a growing line of religion and spirituality titles within Simon & Schuster, focusing on Christian living, faith-based self-help, spiritual memoirs, devotionals, and related culture; cultivate relationships with Christian media, influencers, pastors, and retailers; oversee budgets, timelines, and analytics; coordinate conference presence, author platform development, and faith-community outreach; collaborate with editors, authors, and sales teams to maximize visibility and market impact.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in book publishing, publicity, marketing, media, or related communications fields
- Demonstrated experience marketing books or products to Christian or faith-based audiences
- Strong existing relationships across Christian media, ministries, churches, faith influencers, podcasts, conferences, and/or religious publishing networks
- Deep familiarity with Christian brands / influencers and faith publishing landscape
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful multi-platform marketing and publicity campaigns
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Passion for books, storytelling, culture, and faith-centered conversations
- Experience working with author brands and audience development strategies preferred
- Knowledge of social media strategy, influencer marketing, and digital audience engagement
- Proficiencies with social media platforms (META, TikTok, YouTube, etc) and Canva (or similar design services)
- Collaborative, creative, entrepreneurial mindset with strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with both mainstream and Christian retail channels
- Understanding of the intersection between faith, culture, leadership, wellness, spirituality, and contemporary Christian living
