Job Summary
General Street maintenance and support of the Sanitary Sewer, Water, and Wastewater Treatment Plant Divisions of the Operations Group of Public Works; operate street maintenance equipment, sewer cleaning equipment and trenching. Work involves responsibility for performing duties of a manual nature. May drive and operate commercial equipment. Work is usually performed under supervision. Essential duties include cleaning and unclogging storm sewer lines, manholes and catch basins; assisting with laying storm sewer lines, building manholes and catch basins; performing concrete work; loading/unloading heavy materials; operating heavy machinery and power equipment; grounds maintenance (grass, pruning, spraying); routine maintenance on equipment; maintaining traffic control devices; overtime/weekend availability; emergency callouts for water/sewer issues; pass an essential functions evaluation; regular attendance. Required skills include basic computer/iPad use, good communication, and ability to work with others. Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent; Two years Public Works maintenance experience; Valid CDL-B license. Equal Opportunity Employer.
