Public Transportation Dispatcher - Relief role supporting DART operations in Kent, WA. Responsibilities include maintaining radio contact with transit operators and passengers, logging notable events, scheduling trips to vehicles, locating coverage for call outs, and communicating trip details. Requires customer service experience, proficiency in MS Office, ability to learn Hopelink scheduling software, and flexibility to work opening/closing tasks with a schedule that may include mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends. Duties include using scheduling software to maintain weekly schedules, processing ride requests, assessing service disruptions, providing reroute instructions, preparing reports in dispatching and scheduling software and Excel, and coordinating with law enforcement, medical services, and supervisors in emergencies. Must maintain professional conduct, attend base checks at Kent and Willows bases, and be prepared for a Safety Sensitive position with background checks and DOT drug screening.
