Job Summary
Public Tax Senior responsible for reviewing federal and multi-state tax returns, researching fundamental tax issues, performing general accounting duties on engagements, training and mentoring Staff Accountants, and communicating professionally with managers, partners, and clients to support the growth of the Richmond tax practice in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role emphasizes client service, tax engagement execution, and staff development within a growing tax practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s preferred.
- CPA certification or active progress toward licensure.
- 3+ years of public accounting experience.
- Strong review experience.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet tools; experience with ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, or Engagement is a plus.
- Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills with a sense of urgency.
