Job Summary
Public Space Attendant responsible for cleaning the lobby, elevators, restrooms and other public areas in a hotel setting, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, glass cleaning and trash removal; will receive and fulfill assignments from Hotel Housekeeping, stock supplies, maintain caddie/cart, perform routine quality checks on televisions, telephones, and lamps, and report incidents or safety concerns to management; requires high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, strong guest-service and English communication skills, knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical management, and must pass drug and background checks; position may require a California driver license and adherence to hotel privacy and safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience in the hospitality industry as well as knowledge of common industry terms and practices preferred
- Must complete Blood Borne Pathogen
- Must be able to understand and provide friendly guest service
- Must be able to understand and comply with proper cleaning techniques, procedures and hotel standards
- Must be knowledgeable on chemical management, MSDS and always place chemicals and supplies in a secured location
- Must be able to operate a vacuum, mop and properly use cleaning equipment and supplies
- Must give strong attention to detail and possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment (sometimes under pressure) while remaining professional, flexible, and efficient
- Must be able to communicate proficiently in English
- May be required to possess and maintain a valid California driver license and Black Oak Casino drivers permit
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and background check
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
