Job Summary
Oversee and direct all Contracts Section activities including Construction Contract Advertisement and Award, Contractor Payment Processing, Documentation Review, Contractor Prequalification, and Systems Administration. Consult with Program Managers, Regional Engineers, and the Legal Office on deficiencies concerning bids, plans, and contract books to recommend corrective action. Manage the human resources necessary to meet section expectations while maintaining the Department of Transportation Standard Specification book, Standard Detail book, and Special Provisions. Chair the Quality Using Innovative Contracting (QUIC) Team and attend Bureau Management team meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- one (1) year work experience in Civil Engineering at the professional level (beyond such licensure)
- one (1) year experience demonstrating progressively responsible duties in program or project management and/or management responsibilities
