Job Summary

Public Service Coordinator I in the Office of Employee Health & Wellness, Workers’ Compensation supports the state’s self-insured workers’ compensation program. Responsibilities include managing a small caseload of workers’ compensation claims for State of Maine employees, collecting information from internal/external sources, training new supervisors on workers’ compensation, preparing files for mediations/hearings, performing provider bill and claim audits, responding to inquiries from the state's legal teams and partners, preparing bills for potential agreements or decrees, maintaining subrogation and claims spreadsheets, scheduling and preparing medical packages for evaluations, sending files to attorneys/advocates, preparing medical/bill indices, and compiling quarterly, monthly, and yearly departmental reports. The role requires a combination of related post-secondary education, training, or experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook). Telework is available.
