Job Summary
Public Sector Account Executive at Elastic responsible for owning a defined territory, building pipeline with outbound cadences, and closing complex government deals in a consumption-based model. Highlighted responsibilities include discovery and qualification using MEDDPICC, delivering tailored value stories and live demos of Elastic’s Search AI platform, collaborating with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps, and maintaining forecast accuracy. Candidates should demonstrate SaaS quota-carrying success, executive storytelling, strong negotiation in multi-year contracts, cloud/observability/security fluency, and a collaborative, open-source-friendly mindset. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years SaaS quota-carrying success closing complex Public Sector deals
- Demonstrated discovery and qualification using MEDDPICC or equivalent frameworks
- Track record of executive-level presentations and product-to-dollar storytelling
- Strong negotiation skills with history of multi-year, high-ACV contracts
- Technical and cloud fluency across observability, security, and data architectures
- Collaborative mindset with internal teams (Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, RevOps)
- Open Source enthusiasm and experience in OSS contexts (bonus)
- Experience with DWP and/or HMRC
