Job Summary
Oversee Public Safety operations at a medical center, including monitoring staff, control center technicians, and parking/transportation services; supervise and organize activities to meet department goals; develop and revise policies and procedures; assist in quality assurance, reporting, and regulatory compliance; coordinate mandatory training, incident reporting, and records management; ensure visitor control and access policies are enforced; verify automated systems and coordinate hardware/software changes; recruit, orient, train, and evaluate staff; collaborate with Operations Manager and Director to inform on incidents and activities; support labor relations and scheduling needs; contribute to a safe and secure environment for faculty, staff, students, patients, and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Must be appointable as a “Special Police Officer” in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 22
- Minimum of five years of experience in medical center security or equivalent including at least three years of supervisory responsibility
