Job Summary
Patrol campus buildings, parking lots, and grounds to ensure safety and security. Enforce campus security and parking policies, including building access and key control procedures. Respond to emergencies, assist injured individuals, and coordinate with local emergency responders when necessary. Conduct investigations, complete incident reports, and maintain security records. Monitor security and life-safety systems, including fire, intrusion, and access control systems. Perform routine inspections of campus safety equipment and security measures. Provide security escorts, support campus events, and collaborate with departments on safety initiatives and emergency preparedness. Participate in safety training, emergency drills, and other professional development activities. Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible, approachable presence on campus. Work non-standard hours from 4 PM to Midnight, Saturday through Wednesday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-traditional hours as needed

- Associate degree
- Previous experience in campus safety, security, law enforcement, military service, emergency response, or related field
- Commitment to the mission and values of a faith-based university
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, de-escalate conflicts, and respond effectively in emergencies
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with technology and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
