Job Summary
Conduct security patrols for CoxHealth South staff, patients, and property to identify potential concerns and implement preventative measures. Respond to incidents, provide assistance when necessary, and document all observations and actions in department reports. Maintain a visible presence using strong public relations skills to foster a secure and welcoming environment. This role requires a 21-year-old with a high school diploma, active driver's license, and IAHSS Security Officer certification within 90 days, working 40 hours per night shift from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age
- No serious driving violations during the past five years
- Active Driver's License
- Complete department specific training to carry firearms upon completion of the academy training for new officers
- Must obtain IAHSS Security Officer certification within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate clearly in a variety of situations
- Basic computer skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions
- Strong critical thinking skills
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of the Missouri POST Licensure requirements
- Have and maintain a current POST Licensure through the Missouri Department of Public Safety, possessing a license with the required minimum training standards to include yearly training and certifications supported with current documentation
