Job Summary
Receives, assimilates, and dispenses calls for service from campus to on-duty Public Safety Officers; serves as first point of contact and provides courteous, professional customer service; communicates with Redlands Police Department and Redlands Fire Department when needed; enters activity logs, parking permits, and citations into the computer; locates and relays information to officers; contacts emergency personnel; processes work orders and after-hours keys/permits; supports related duties and special projects; requires a high school diploma or equivalent with one year of relevant coursework, one year of related experience, and a background check; POST Public Safety Dispatcher Course is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent supplemented with one year of course work in public relations or dispatching
- One-year related experience in a similar position
- Completion of a POST Public Safety Dispatcher Course is desirable
- A comprehensive background check is required
