Job Summary
Public Risk Account Manager responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of public sector clients (municipalities, school districts, government entities) as the primary liaison between clients and the insurance carrier/broker. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting insurance proposals, coverage comparisons, renewal strategies, ensuring policy accuracy and timely delivery, collaborating with internal teams for seamless service delivery, analyzing public entity exposures (general liability, public officials liability, workers’ compensation, property), ensuring regulatory compliance, monitoring industry trends, and identifying cross-selling/upselling opportunities. Requires a strong knowledge of public entity risk exposures and insurance products, excellent communication and relationship-management skills, and an active P&C license.
Required Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license
- 3–7+ years of experience in insurance account management, preferably within public sector insurance
