Job Summary
Support multi-channel public relations strategies that shape the Mizuho brand through proactive press outreach, content development, and social/digital alignment. Serve as press officer, managing daily inquiries, pitching stories, arranging interviews, and facilitating broadcast appearances across Equities, Fixed Income, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Research, and Economics. Coordinate with business marketing teams and external agencies to cultivate media relationships, manage issues, and execute communications projects advancing firm objectives. Collaborate with the CCM team to ensure message consistency, develop briefing materials for executives, and track thought leadership programs. Stay current on financial services media trends to positively position Mizuho in the press.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of experience in public relations
- deep experience supporting financial services organizations
- Bachelor's degree in communications, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to understand and discuss markets and complex financial concepts with confidence
- Strong relationship management skills
