Public Relations Manager – Litigation & Trial

Job Summary
Manage proactive press outreach and reactive media issues while building relationships with key reporters and connecting them to firm partners. Lead strategic writing projects by drafting press releases, preparing case notes, developing award entries, and editing website content. Place byline articles and create opportunities for thought leadership through Client Alerts, market reports, podcasts, and video to support marketing campaigns across digital and social channels. Coordinate with Brand & Communications and BD colleagues to leverage sponsorships and support the firm's event program. Safeguard highly sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information. This role serves as a strategic advisor to enhance the reputation of the Litigation & Trial practice within Latham's Brand & Communications team.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field
- A minimum of ten (10) years of cumulative experience, including a minimum of five (5) years of relevant public relations and marketing experience at a PR agency or in-house
- Prior work experience and a deep understanding of litigation and familiarity with the legal industry, preferably

- Exhibit knowledge of core public relations and marketing principles including digital marketing, communications, branding, market research, and competitive intelligence
- Possess excellent leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective management
- Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
