Job Summary
PR Intern responsibilities include supporting the public relations team to execute programs for a range of clients; craft media materials such as media lists, pitch letters, fact sheets and press releases; assist with media outreach; help with event planning; create written content including articles and blog posts; assist with crafting and submitting award entries; monitor and report on earned media placements. Required skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), strong writing and grammar, verbal/presentation skills, solid organizational skills, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AP Style writing; experience with Keynote, Photoshop, InDesign; familiarity with social media marketing; experience with PR tools such as Cision and Crimson Hexagon; certification or experience with Google Analytics and/or Google AdWords; educational background in journalism, communications, or public relations.
