Job Summary
Track current events and cultural trends to identify opportunities inserting Sazerac brands into relevant conversations. Develop and maintain relationships with press and industry contacts while conducting media outreach for assigned brands like Fireball and SVEDKA. Respond to media requests for interviews and assets within 24 hours, acting as on-site liaison for visits and photo shoots. Plan and coordinate special events, manage multiple projects with deadlines, and build updated media lists. Write, edit, and proofread pitches and press releases to drive earned media coverage. Monitor brand news, oversee monthly PR reporting, and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and trade teams to execute communications campaigns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years relevant experience
- Demonstrate the ability to work as a team as well as self-directed
- Ability to quickly learn new systems/processes
- Working knowledge of Office products (word, excel and outlook)
- Proficient with PR tools such as: Muckrack, Meltwater, etc
- Self-motivated, innovative and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to support and manage multiple projects at one time with excellence
- Ability to work cross functionally with brand management, legal, creative and operations teams
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Experience with data warehousing and data lake methodology
- Proficient with graphic arts computers and software
- Willingness to travel
- Experience in alcohol beverage industry or cpg overall
- Public relations agency experience
