Job Summary
Build relationships with policymakers, civic leaders, and community organizations to strengthen Vannevar's presence across Hawaiʻi and the Indo-Pacific. Support engagement with state officials, congressional offices, and industry associations by coordinating meetings, preparing briefings, and attending partner-led events. Conduct policy research on regional security and economic development to synthesize actionable insights for internal teams. Serve as a connective tissue between Government Relations, product, and mission teams to align messaging and execution. Provide operational support for scheduling, event logistics, and stakeholder follow-ups. This internship expands the company's local footprint within a small, agile defense technology team focused on AI-driven deterrence.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Based in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi
- Demonstrated interest in public policy, government relations, community affairs, or civic engagement (internships, campus work, or community leadership welcome)
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities
- Ability to operate independently and proactively in a remote, lightly structured environment
- Familiarity with Hawaiʻi's policy and community landscape (or eagerness to learn quickly and respectfully)
