Job Summary
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Auditor & Trainer/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for a potential Navy contract. Responsibilities include maintaining NCMS PKI Registration Authority (RA) and Local RA (LRA), performing OS updates and ensuring compliance with Authority to Operate (ATO); coordinating with NMCI for machine and network troubleshooting; maintaining security and disaster recovery SOPs and documentation; developing enterprise architecture SOPs and network/topology illustrations; serving as NCMS PKI liaison to external LRA sites and collaborating with ISSMs/ISSO to meet ATO requirements; performing cybersecurity tasks such as ACAS scans, patching, and applying STIGs; securing PKI archives; performing backups and log reviews; completing JFHQ-DODIN PKI audit requirements, drafting reports, tracking POA&M, and conducting PKI training (TA, TA, SA, ISSO) for new personnel; Qualifications emphasize CAC familiarity, DoD IT security policies, PKI knowledge, communication skills, independence, analytical abilities, and required Navy DoD/Navy COOL qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) CAC/CAC smart card operation and procedures (CAC/middleware) with at least one-year experience
- Knowledge of IT processing concepts and DoD/Service IT security policies with at least one-year experience
- Familiar with DoD 8520.02, PKI, and PKI enabling
- Skilled verbal and written communication for meetings and reports
- Ability to work independently
- Analytical processing skills
- DoD 8140 qualification of 461 Basic or 451 Intermediate on or before first day of employment and continued training per SECNAV M-5239.2; Navy COOL - CWF Model
- JFHQ-DODIN PKI Auditor Qualified or Navy RA/LRA/PKI ISSO experience for 3 years
