Public Interest Law Student Internship

Public Interest Law Student Internship at Community Legal Aid (CLA) and the Central West Justice Center (CWJC) in Worcester, MA. Interns will assist attorneys by conducting client interviews, researching and drafting briefs and other legal documents, preparing pleadings, assisting in trial/hearing preparation, and attending community meetings, outreach events, and court/agency hearings. Academic year interns work a minimum of 10 hours per week; summer interns work full-time (35 hours/week) for 10 weeks with weekly learning sessions that introduce different types of legal aid work. Requires enrollment in an ABA-accredited JD or LLM program and demonstrated interest or experience in public interest law. Compensation details indicate some summer funding or stipends may be available; part-time unpaid opportunities may fulfill academic or pro bono credit.
