Job Summary

Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan aligned with district strategic priorities while creating consistent messaging across all platforms. Serve as the primary spokesperson for media inquiries, coordinate interviews and press conferences, and prepare news releases and talking points. Manage digital communication channels, including websites and social media, to distribute content highlighting student success and district initiatives. Support crisis communication planning and response during emergencies, ensuring accurate and timely information is shared with stakeholders. Collaborate with district leadership, schools, and community partners to promote transparency and strengthen public trust.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, education, or related field
  • Experience in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, education, or a related field
  • Experience developing communication plans and managing digital communication platforms
  • Experience working with media outlets and responding to public inquiries

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of public information laws, including public records requirements
  • Experience working in a K-12 public education environment
  • Experience serving as a spokesperson or communications liaison
  • Experience with photography, videography, graphic design, and multimedia production
