Job Summary
Public Information Officer serves as the principal communications and public affairs representative for the Third Judicial District Attorney's Office, planning and implementing communication strategies to enhance public understanding of the criminal justice system, serving as primary spokesperson and media liaison across traditional media, digital platforms, and community outreach, collaborating with attorneys, investigators, victim-witness personnel, law enforcement, and community stakeholders to communicate the Office's mission, programs, and accomplishments, and assisting with IPRA requests and special projects to strengthen transparency and public trust throughout Doña Ana County.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, public administration, business administration, public relations, marketing, communications, or related field
- Degree plus four (4) years of related work experience; or any combination of experience and/or education in a related field totaling at least six (6) years
