Public Housing Outreach and Advocacy Coordinator

Support and strengthen tenant organizing efforts in NYCHA developments, including resident associations, tenant leaders, and citywide coalitions. Build trusted relationships with residents, tenant leaders, and community-based organizations while organizing listening sessions and town halls to surface tenant concerns. Serve as the primary liaison between MOPT and NYCHA on tenant protection and resident engagement matters, participating in interagency working groups to ensure accountability for commitments made to residents. Bring tenant perspectives into policy development and program design, analyzing trends in complaints and feedback to inform recommendations. Develop accessible materials on tenant rights and represent the office at community meetings and public hearings. Prepare briefings and reports for leadership on organizing efforts and outcomes.
