Job Summary

Public Health Specialist at XWELL serves as a frontline representative supporting public health programs within airport environments. The role is passenger-facing, communicating with travelers, collecting health-related information, and ensuring compliance with established public health protocols. Responsibilities include engaging travelers in public health surveillance, educating participants on health initiatives, collecting information per procedures, maintaining documentation and confidentiality (PHI) under HIPAA, collaborating with management and healthcare partners, supporting onboarding and training, and assisting with day-to-day operational activities in a busy airport setting.   • Engage travelers and explain the purpose and importance of public health surveillance and monitoring programs.
  • Educate participants on public health initiatives, disease prevention, and health promotion efforts.
  • Collect health-related information following approved procedures and training requirements.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and handling of participant information.

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or coursework in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Biology, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), EMT, Phlebotomist, or similar patient-facing healthcare role.
  • Previous experience supporting public health, disease surveillance, screening, testing, vaccination, or community health programs.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, infection prevention, and specimen collection protocols.
  • Experience working in healthcare, laboratory, public health, or airport environments.
  • Bilingual or multilingual language skills.
