Job Summary

Develop and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flow while leading technical discussions and contributing to solution design alongside architects. Mentor junior developers through pair programming, code reviews, and guidance, and bring your public health perspective to design conversations to ensure solutions fit actual public health operations. Write clean, well-documented, testable code, identify complex technical challenges, and collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality deliverables. Participate in quarterly PI Planning and two-week sprints with daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives within an Agile Release Train. This Senior Salesforce Developer role supports client implementations on the PH360 platform for state and local health departments, combining technical leadership with deep empathy for public health staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Public health experience (local, tribal, state, or federal)
  • Governmental public health experience (local, tribal, state, federal, or tribal)
  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
  • 1-3 years working for a governmental public health agency (local, state, federal, or tribal)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Track record of mentoring or guiding less experienced developers
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components
  • Experience with Salesforce Flow and declarative automation tools
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data modeling and security model
  • Familiarity with integration patterns and REST/SOAP APIs
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and test-driven development
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Willingness to adhere to our no-drug workplace policy

Desired Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification
  • Experience with Service Cloud or Health Cloud
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements
