Job Summary

Deliver direct patient services including physical exams, immunizations, contraceptive care, and preventive counseling for individuals and families. Lead WIC clinics by preparing screening areas, coordinating schedules, and providing assessments to parents based on screening results. Administer Plan B and Depo-Provera, perform venipunctures for lab tests, and conduct pregnancy tests for walk-in clients while offering counseling and referrals. Manage clinic operations by ordering inventory, calibrating medical equipment daily, maintaining autoclaves, and documenting all services rendered. Respond to client concerns on a walk-in basis and by phone, and participate in public health preparedness, flu clinics, and emergency shelter staffing as needed. Complete the NCCPHN Course within the first year of employment.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Completion of the on-line NCCPHN Course (NC Credentialed Public Health Nurse Program) within the first year of employment
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Current Driver's License valid in the State of North Carolina
  • CPR Certification
  • Clean pre-employment drug screen
  • Clean Nationwide background checks and SBI background check
