Public Health Dental Hygienist (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Provide preventive dental care and education to pregnant women and children, conducting oral health assessments and documenting findings in the electronic medical record. Apply fluoride varnish and offer anticipatory guidance tailored to pregnancy while collaborating with physicians and nurses for timely referrals. Educate OB patients on the connection between oral health and pregnancy outcomes and infant oral health. This part-time role requires a Licensed Dental Hygienist in Indiana with at least two years of experience working under a dentist, including current BLS certification. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Dental Hygienist in Indiana
- 2 years experience and at least 200 hours working under Dentist
- Eligible to practice under an Access Practice Agreement (APA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Indianapolis, IN 46227 (Required)
- In person
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with pregnant or underserved populations preferred
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and patient documentation
