Job Summary
Clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents, and floors using proper agents and techniques. Dust furniture, pictures, and shelves while polishing metal surfaces with repeated pressure. Empty trash, clean ashtrays, and report suspicious persons or hazardous conditions to Safety/Security. Provide guest and employee safety guidance during fire or other emergencies. Assist room attendants or housekeeping staff when requested. Maintain a neat appearance, wear required PPE, and comply with health and safety regulations. Work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry.
Required Qualifications
- Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety levels and instructions
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards
- Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk public areas for extended periods of time
- Ability to understand and follow directions and perform job functions under limited supervision
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must comply with health and safety rules, regulations and procedures
- Must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including nights, weekends and/or holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Previous lobby attendant and/or janitorial experience
- Additional language ability
