Job Summary
Public Assistance (PA) Project Delivery Manager to join AECOM and assist local/state/tribal clients with FEMA Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation after a presidentially declared federal disaster. Responsibilities include guiding clients through FEMA PA and related recovery programs from declaration to funding, interpreting 44 CFR and PAPPG to develop project worksheets, using the FEMA Grants Portal to track progress and flag risks, leading the project team, coordinating with architects, engineers, and construction managers to verify quantities and develop cost estimates, delivering program-specific operational guidance to sub-recipients, and ensuring deliverables meet AECOM quality standards. Requires a BA/BS and 6+ years of experience; position is contingent based on client request. May involve leadership responsibilities and potential training of lower level staff; collaboration with FEMA, state emergency management officers, and sub-recipients is a daily focus.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree from an accredited university
- 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education
- Experience delivering PA Assistance on two or more previous disasters
- Experience with FEMA PA categories and project worksheet development
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to supervise and evaluate staff as required
- Ability to train lower level staff as required
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency with enterprise content management systems and reporting
