Job Summary
Public Areas Lead oversees custodial functions for casino and public/employee spaces, mentors Public Areas attendants, and may serve as Public Areas Supervisor in the absence of the supervisor. Responsibilities include dusting, vacuuming, trash disposal, restroom cleaning, cleaning of windows/mirrors/walls/doors/carpet, directing and evaluating staff, maintaining cleaning supplies inventory, assigning duties, preparing reports, enforcing SOPs, and supporting emergency procedures. Knowledge of coordinating with Facilities, training new staff, handling keys and timecards, providing customer service, and ensuring safety compliance. Familiarity with Bingo Hall and Slot Machine areas and ability to operate thermostat controls are noted, along with requiring punctuality, attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Education, licensing, and background checks aligned with NM requirements; trend toward supervisory responsibilities and KPI-oriented performance reviews.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- One (1) year experience in environmental services
- Must possess and maintain valid, unrestricted New Mexico driver’s license
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
- Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening
