Job Summary
Clean all public areas and restrooms thoroughly, including toilets, sinks, metal surfaces, and floors, using proper cleaning agents and equipment. Dust furniture and shelves, vacuum hallways and lobbies, and polish surfaces while extending arms overhead and bending as needed. Respond promptly to guest requests for items, assistance, directions, and information. Report suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to a supervisor, and turn in found items to the Lost and Found Department. Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning rooms or assisting Room Attendants. Work seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, with varying schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime to reflect business needs. Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance while projecting a hospitable service atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents
- Operation of various cleaning equipment
- Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop and stand and walk in public areas for extended periods of time
- Ability to push or pull heavy equipment weighing up to 150 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing an average of 25-50 pounds
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and perform job functions under limited supervision
- Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests
- Neat, clean and well groomed appearance
- Availability to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Ability to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary
- Agreement to comply with the standards, rules and regulations established by the Company
