Job Summary
Deliver clear, engaging, and professional announcements during Holy Cross Division I athletic events, including football, basketball, hockey, and other sports. Announce starting lineups, in-game action, substitutions, fouls, and game-related information while adhering to NCAA and conference guidelines. Follow scripts provided by the Athletics Communications team to ensure accurate sponsor mentions and promotional reads. Collaborate with game operations staff, statisticians, and officials to maintain a professional demeanor and adapt to fast-paced game flow. Availability required for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hourly rate is $17.25.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a public address announcer, broadcaster, or similar role
- Strong vocal presence with clear pronunciation, projection, and ability to engage a live audience
- Familiarity with collegiate athletics, NCAA rules, and terminology
- Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the athletic schedule
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with game operations staff
