Job Summary
Analyze and structure complex transactions impacting fund accounting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards. Determine and document accounting treatments for fund transactions while serving as the primary liaison with external auditors to resolve technical positions. Review financial statements and regulatory filings to ensure consistency, incorporating SOX controls to maintain a robust control environment. Research new accounting regulations and lead implementation of necessary solutions, partnering with leadership to establish consistent application of policies. Requires a CPA license, 5–8 years of public accounting experience, and strong expertise in ASC 946 and ASC 820.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA license
- 5 – 8 years of general and technical accounting experience
- specifically coming from a public accounting firm
- Strong background in ASC 946 (Investment Companies)
- Strong background in ASC 820 (Fair Value Measurement)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and analytical rigor
