Job Summary
The Communication department seeks Adjunct Instructors for Basic Public Speaking to teach 3 - 6 credits per semester focusing on communication theory and practice, audience analysis, speaker delivery, and speech organization techniques. Responsibilities include providing classroom instruction, maintaining course grades, supporting students, and adhering to University policies. Applicants must have a Master's degree in Communication or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in speech, experience in teaching public speaking, and excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Communication or a related field
- A minimum of 18 graduate hours in speech, Oral Communications
- Experience teaching public speaking
- Demonstrated evidence of professional growth through continuing education and related activities
- Proficiency with teaching technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary teaching experience preferred
- Experience in student engagement techniques preferred
Additional Requirements
