Job Summary
PTA Physical Therapist Assistant in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Responsibilities include assessing residents' needs related to therapy, meeting with residents according to treatment program schedule, evaluating and maintaining progress records, and reporting progress to management and family members. Daily duties involve regular evaluations to measure progress, staying current with professional literature, and attending seminars to maintain skills. Required skills include sufficient hearing to evaluate therapy needs, clear verbal and written communication with residents and families, successful completion of fingerprinting (Background Screening Clearinghouse) with an Eligible status, and possession of or eligibility for a Professional license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state.
Required Qualifications
- two-year associate degree to be a Physical Therapist Assistant
- NPTE exam or eligible to sit for the exam
- Professional license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in your State of Practice
- pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status
- Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse Education and Awareness website
- License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in your State of Practice
