Job Summary
Conduct in-home physical therapy sessions, administering modalities like massage and ultrasound to relieve pain and improve circulation. Collaborate with Physical Therapists to develop and implement rehabilitation programs while evaluating patient progress and modifying care plans as needed. Provide training on assistive devices such as crutches and prosthetics, ensuring personalized care for patients recovering from injury or illness. Document all patient services and communicate updates regarding treatment effectiveness to the supervising PT. Travel to patient homes for visits, with mileage reimbursement provided, while maintaining compassionate communication with patients and facility staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Science or Applied Science from an Accredited Institution
- Active PTA License in the state of Indiana
- Must be willing to travel to patients' homes to provide care
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build rapport with in-home patients, Physical Therapist (PT) and Assisted Living Facility (ALF)/Independent Living Facility (ILF) staff, as necessary
- Must be able to handle the physical workload with kindness, compassion, and empathy
- Strong leadership qualities
