Job Summary
The Wheelchair Attendant is responsible for assisting passengers requiring mobility support throughout the airport, including safely transferring them to and from aircraft seats and managing their luggage. Key responsibilities include adhering to dispatcher orders, completing necessary reports, and maintaining exceptional customer service. Qualifications include being at least 18 years old, effective communication skills in English, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen, and be flexible to work various shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

- Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, kneel
- Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels
