Job Summary

Conduct all member account functions, including teller transactions, processing new account requests, and counseling members on appropriate products to meet sales goals. Review documentation for compliance accuracy, ensure daily cashbox balances, and resolve cashbox errors. Assist with account maintenance, safe deposit box services, outgoing wires, ACH transactions, fraud resolution, and notary duties. Troubleshoot member and internal inquiries, answer telephone calls, and route messages to appropriate staff. Adhere to service standards and applicable laws including the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act. Contribute to branch deposit and member goals.

  • Thorough understanding of the member's transaction requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate all available options
  • Ability to educate members about sales and service delivery options
  • Ability to refer appropriate products and services matching the member's needs
  • Ability to refer members to the appropriate source or channel
  • Ability to process regular transactions
  • Ability to receive and pay out money
  • Ability to keep records of money and negotiable instruments
  • Ability to perform account functions including teller transactions
  • Ability to process requests for new accounts and services
  • Ability to provide counseling and cross sell appropriate products or services
  • Ability to achieve established sales goals
  • Ability to interview members
  • Ability to process applications for all types of credit cards and consumer loans
  • Ability to review all documentation for completeness and accuracy according to compliance guidelines
  • Ability to ensure teller cashbox balances on a daily basis
  • Ability to research and resolve cashbox errors
  • Ability to assist with regular account maintenance
  • Ability to manage Safe Deposit Box maintenance
  • Ability to assist members with account inquiries and reconciliation
  • Ability to manage outgoing wires, ACH transactions and disputes
  • Ability to solve fraud issues
  • Ability to serve as notary public
  • Ability to close accounts
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries
  • Ability to inform and advise member of status or enhancements to current account productivity
  • Ability to suggest resolution on account disputes and other account activity
  • Ability to answer and route telephone calls
  • Ability to take messages
  • Ability to provide information
  • Ability to direct calls to appropriate staff
  • Ability to contribute to overall success of branch in working towards branch deposit and member goals
  • Ability to adhere to all service standards set by the credit union
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
