Job Summary
Provide information, assistance and courteous service to customers in a deli setting while maintaining and displaying meat products according to procedure. Responsibilities include placing replenishment orders, communicating out-of-stock items to the Department Manager, following morning setup and evening closing procedures, addressing minor complaints, preparing/wrapping/stocking/price-checking merchandise, checking code dates, observing safety measures, assisting with stock-taking, and maintaining sanitation per association standards. Operation of deli equipment and proper maintenance of equipment and case temperatures are required, along with flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Physically demanding job with lifting up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to operate equipment for deli preparation, merchandising and sale
- Must be strongly service oriented and able to assist customers in a courteous and efficient manner
