Job Summary
Pay and receive teller funds for retail and commercial businesses while processing multiple transactions with emphasis on accuracy. Sell money orders and official checks, promote BancFirst services through cross-selling banking products, and maintain branch cash vaults if applicable. Provide extraordinary customer service while consistently executing policies and procedures, including opening and closing duties that meet security standards. Work in a highly sensitive environment managing confidential matters, multiple tasks, and deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of teller cash limits, teller machines, and preparation of teller work
- Ability to balance teller cash and maintain acceptable balancing percentages as defined by management
- Knowledge of consignment items and their issuance
- Able to perform in a highly sensitive environment, deal with confidential matters and meet deadlines
- Work well individually and with a team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor
- Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Work well under stress and deadlines while managing multiple tasks
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent work ethic
- Ability to work various hours as assigned to meet the needs of the business (open/close branch)
- Able to perform opening and closing duties while maintaining security standards
- Regular attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job
- Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10-25 pounds (cash canisters, coin boxes/bags)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teller experience a plus, but will train
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
