Job Summary
Part-time Youth Development Professional (YDP) for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas summer program. Tickets: June 1–July 24, 2026. Deliver age-appropriate programs and activities for members aged 6–18, ensure safe, engaging environments, orient new members to program areas and events, monitor behavior, maintain records, and assist with overall Club operations. Requires HS Diploma or GED, 18+ years old, background check, at least one year of experience with children, and CPR/First Aid certifications. Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; flexible, self-motivated, with ability to motivate youth and manage group activities. The role involves janitorial/maintenance tasks and supporting the Program Director.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma GED is required
- 18+ years old
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be over 18 to work with youth, over 21 to work with teens
- Must have at least one year experience working with children
- Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of 6 months where: There is experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development
- Formal training, and/or experience teaching youth while creating engaging learning experiences
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to de-escalate problems when present, as well as problem-solve during day-today-club activities
- Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth
- Ability to control and manage a group of children through different activities
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications
