Job Summary
Youth Development Professional (YDP) for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas' summer program. Part-time, non-exempt role from June 1 to July 24, 2026. Responsibilities include delivering age-appropriate programs across BGCD/BGCA core areas, supervising and engaging members aged 6-18, maintaining safety and club climate, reporting, membership administration, and assisting with overall club operations. Requires passion for positive youth impact, ability to set boundaries, multi-tasking, leadership, effective communication, and experience working with youth; CPR/First Aid certifications required or to be provided after hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18+ years old
- Background check (must pass)
- At least one year experience working with children
- Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of 6 months related to youth development
- Formal training and/or experience teaching youth and creating engaging learning experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior
- Ability to de-escalate problems and problem-solve
- Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth
- Ability to supervise groups of children
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications (training provided upon hiring)
- Valid Driver's License (preferred)
